Overview of Sub-Department

The Paediatrics sub-department is involved for the health-care of the younger civilian crewmembers aboard the Galaxy.

Normally, Paediatrics deals with children from the age of 1 month through to roughly 15 to 16 years.

Staff

The list of current officers with paediatric training includes Lt Murphy, Lt M'Giia, Ensign Opel, Lt Grr'Iss and the EMH programs.

In addition, Dr Loba and Specialist Vestrad have had rudimentary training on how to deal with children.

The Paediatrics Ward

Located in a separate section to Main Sickbay, the entrances are via Main Sickbay or Door 6, Corridor 3 on Deck 12.

On the ingenuity of Lt Murphy during her very brief stint as Acting Chief Medical Officer, the Paediatrics Ward was fully-outfitted with enhanced holo-matrix capabilities and can be made to look like any world in the Holographic Systems Databases.
